Dropinsea is a project

with the aim of being a nonprofit organization that has a mission to increase water access in rural South Africa. Our current rural community developmental program is in Boschfontein, located in the Nkomazi region, with our water source initiative to deliver a model of sustainable water independence.

Dropinsea began in 2017 as simply a W.A.S.H project to combat water insecurity for the residents of Boschfontein, mostly vulnerable women and children in rural South Africa. For nearly 6 months, Dropinsea has focused on making a refined model that will enact change through the fixing of broken borehole by a local drilling firm. We want the firm to teach skilled local members the mechanical side of the systems, while they are actually fixing the boreholes in order for them to be able to fix them boreholes in the future. We are just on inception, and we have the mission to pilot our project by fixing the cheapest borehole in order to gain traction and grow into a strong community development organization, providing quality water and community empowerment for nearly 1500 community members. We are at grassroots, but our vision is to flourish into a national movement centered around enhancing the water saving and access.

Both the Dropinsea method for now and the dropinsea route for the future are established on a key vission, including not just of our motivation but rather it's acknowledgment also, and which goes about as a guide in coordinating all our descissions and activities. In understanding our motivation of giving overabundance water to rural communities and advancing better life for africa and beyond, we are attempting to accommodate societty's fundamental, essential needs by putting dependably in water sources and other water related causes to guarantee sustanability for who and what is to come. Indepedence

Current solution

  • ● This one is the cheapest and most effective. Estimated by Richard Wicks Granville (A local cormercial farmer who llives nearby the community) to produce 22 000 litres of water per hour.
  • ● Located in a good wetland and good state aquifer. It is owned by the local municipal community, who gladly gave us an oral permission to work on it.
